Pluto

Pluto’s nascent trajectory has covered the spectrum of the New Zealand musical stratosphere, bursting onto the scene in 2001. Mastering the art of the multi-layered rock sound – sometimes indie, moody and restrained, at other times hook-laden hand-clap pop, often angular, full-energy, anthemic rock.

The group played their first concert together opening for Neil Finn in 2001 and have gone on to support the likes of Duran Duran, Crowded House, Muse, Gomez and The Dandy Warhols. They performed at the SXSW music festival in Austin, Texas and made regular appearances at other international gatherings.

Their third studio album Pipeline Under The Ocean, released in 2005 went double platinum on the RIANZ albums chart and had successes at 2006 New Zealand Music Awards, winning Single of the Year with "Long White Cross" and other accolades for “Dance Stamina”.

Fast forward to 2019, Pluto released their fourth studio album ‘IV’ including lead single “Oh My Lonely”. Pluto are now in the studio albeit Covid delays working on their fifth album and have just released in December 2021 the album’s first single “After Winter”.
